8.🚪 Kouign Café Says Goodbye - Celebrated Chinatown bakery to close doors in mid-November, citing unspecified challenges.

9.🥧 The Pie Hole Expands to Langley - New location officially opens, offering sweet and savory pies.

10.☠️ RIP Jenjudan - the bbt brand’s Robson Street outpost spotted to have shut down and in midst of being replaced by a new pizza and bbt spot called Tiko Pizza.

Our take: Surprised to only see 1 new star awarded, but Okeya Kyujiro is one whom we completely agree on the designation. We were graciously invited earlier this year and were blown away by the experience and food.

We would comfortably say they offer the best omakase experience in North America due to their theatrics and high-quality food combo.
