1.🔥 Torafuku Triumphantly Returns - Michelin-recommended spot reopened this week after overcoming devastating fire damages.
2.🍜 [COMMUNITY SPOTTED] Jinya to land on W Broadway - a poster was spotted at a unit on W Broadway & Granville of the ramen brand’s new unit. Slated for Winter.
3. 🍙 New onigiri shop opens - Chinatown’s International Village Mall has a new onigiri food stall in its food court called Zenya Japanese Kitchen. Has over 10 different onigiri options and is priced $2.99 - $3.99.
4.☕️ East Van gets new specialty coffee house - Taking over Oide Coffee’s previous location on 550 Clark Drive, Yuan Coffee quietly soft opens.
5.🌸 Secret Garden blossoms in Burnaby - Korean fusion buffet and grill opening mid-November in former Red Robin location.
6.🌤️ A bit of California in Yaletown soon - Dovetail is described as a spot for “California inspired share plates, cocktails and vibes” is taking over the previous Nightshade unit.
7.🥲 Longtime HK-style cafe closes - After more than 15 years of operation, W Broadway’s I-Cafe has closed. The word on the street is that the owner sold the business to retire. The unit is now under renovation.
